"Winter Wonderland"

by

Paint Box

After lots of chilly weeks of snow and frost the children have created some snowy winter landscapes.

First of all they had to cut out their hills or mountains in what ever shape they wanted, and stick them on black paper.  It was then their choice to decorate their snow scene in which ever way they wanted.

They chose snow men, log cabins and reindeer.

The children cut pices of conifer for the trees and dipped them in glue. They then went on to dip them in glitter and icing sugar so they looked like snow covered trees.  We also used silver paper and other textured papers to give the snow more sparkle and depth.

The winter sky was filled with pre-cut snow flakes and wisps of glittery paper. The children were shown how to create their own snow flakes, and how to create the watery, wintery moon with chalks!

The background was then splattered with glitter and icing sugar to give a real wintery feel.

The children have worked really hard and every picture is unique.

The rest of the Art work will be put on the website in a couple of weeks time.
