Admissions
.
The Local Education Authority sets out the criteria for the entry of pupils. Admission should be granted to the following in order of priority:
-
Children in the care of, or provided with accomodation by, a local authority (section 22 Children Act 1989)
-
Children living in the priority area who have a brother or sister at the school at the time of admission
-
Other children living in the priority area
-
Children from outside the priority area who have a brother or sister at the school at the time of admission
-
Other children from outside the priority area
In all cases decisions are based on the distance between home and school by the shortest walking route, with priority going to those living nearest the school. This applies equally to those living inside and outside the authority boundaries.
Application forms are available from the admissions office in the Warwickshire Education Department (01926 412143) and are to be returned to the local authority by the October before the starting date.
It is helpful if you let the school know that you are interested in a place so that we can ensure you have the correct information and exact dates for returning forms.
