Parents

There are many ways in which parents can help in school. Assistance with reading, cooking, art & craft and supervising computer work is always sought. Additional adults are often needed when children go out on educational visits. Parents and members of the local community that have a particular job or interest are sometimes invited into school to share information with the children.

Children receive weekly homework tasks and parents can help with these in many different ways. Please ask your child’s teacher about how you can support your child at home.

Parents' evenings are held in the autumn and spring terms, when each child's progress and targets are discussed. In the summer term each child has a written report.

Healthy Schools

We are very proud of our National Healthy School status. As part of this standard we encourage all children to eat healthily. At morning break children in classes 1 & 2 have fruit provided by the government's Fruit Scheme. Children in classes 3 & 4 are encouraged to bring their own fruit and vegetables.

There is a water machine available throughout the day, children should bring their own water bottles. Milk is available at break time, free to the under 5s, please see the secretary for details.

Hot dinners, with a choice of menu are available at lunch time. Payment should be made weekly or half-termly in advance. Children may bring a packed lunch if they wish.

Further information about school dinners can be found from www.myschoollunch.co.uk/warwickshire

For a packed lunches, why not try some of the ideas from the School Food Trust which can be downloaded here
